The XProMill application was designed to be a 3-Axis CNC Milling Machine controller software. The Windows based software takes G-Code files as an input and accordingly control a CNC Milling machine.
XProMill software is accompanied with micro-controller based pulse generator hardware card that gives steady and smooth pulses to drive stepper motors. The software will only work with CNC machines with stepper motors or servo motors with Pulse-Direction servo drives.
XProMill converts G-Code commands to machine commands that are sent to the hardware card through the parallel port. Since the actual pulses are generated in the pulse-generating card, so the software is free from heavy processing and the user can work on with other features of the software during the milling process. Also the user can work on other software during G-Code execution.
The 3D Tool-Path graphics give a visual confirmation of the milling work and is very helpful for monitoring the milling progress and checking the G-Code in simulation before the actual work.
XProMill easy to use graphical interface is specially designed so that ordinary mechanics and operators can easily operate without any computer skills or knowledge. The motor and software settings allow to use the software with almost all kind of stepper based CNC machines.
